Jessica Jensen hosted the grand opening of her annual Holiday Shop on Dec.1 in Toronto, where her collection became available for purchase to the eager holiday shoppers who did not want to wait another month to see her new designs in stores.
The temporary boutique was set up in an interior design store in the same building as Jensen’s offices at 639 Queen St. W. Guests were welcomed in from the cold outdoors with a glass of champagne and delicious homemade cookies.
The bubbly and personable Jensen was present at the event and explained every piece to the shoppers, speaking enthusiastically about each item.
Featured pieces available for sale included wallets, make-up cases, iPad cases, envelope clutches and a variety of totes in liquid patent, woven metallic and classic leather finishes. All purchases were gift-wrapped and Jensen included a personalized, handwritten Christmas note, if requested.
The Ryerson University graduate and trained accessories designer made her debut on the fashion scene with a spring/summer handbag collection in 2008.
Jensen’s investment-worthy creations breathe life into classics, season after season, refreshed by their unique detailing and exclusive European leathers.
A favourite with celebrities, her designs can be found in the closets of Helen Mirren, Freida Pinto and Courteney Cox, to name a few. Katie Holmes also has a tote named after her.
As Jensen’s tagline states, her designs are truly “Designed with heart in Toronto and carried with love worldwide.”
