Holt Renfrew unveils its Uncrate India project

April 8, 2014

Launched in 2013, Holt Renfrew’s H Project focuses on products that have special stories behind them. The program aims to highlight and support different cultures, crafts and artisans from around the globe. H Project’s curator Alexandra Weston collaborates with a variety of well-known designers in order to “‘uncrate’ the special stories, richness and traditions of a specific culture and its crafts.”

The first installment of the project was unveiled at a VIP party last week and was focused on India. The party attracted some of the top fashion personalities from across Canada, and was held in collaboration with designer and tastemaker Waris Ahluwalia, founder of House of Waris. The night was filled with interactive exhibits and dance performances. Guests were also able to get henna tattoos, and select their favourite bangle bracelets from the hundreds that were handed out.

H Project is available at the following Holt Renfrew locations in Canada: Bloor Street and Yorkdale in Toronto, as well as at its Calgary and Vancouver stores.
