Ready for fall with ECSTASY SHINE by Giorgio Armani Beauty

Glamorous shades of red, plum and pink take centerstage for fall 2017 in Giorgio Armani Beauty’s new ECSTASY SHINE lip cream collection.

To be released in 21 shades, the collection will arrive in Canada in September and will be available at Armani-beauty.ca, as well as at luxury stores, such as Sephora and Holt Renfrew.

ECSTASY SHINE by Giorgio Armani will be released in Canada in September 2017.

In advance of the release, I was sent some of the shades by the brand and tested two of them: 300 (Play) and 506 (Maharajah).

The red packaging with Armani’s signature magnetic cap is feminine and fun. The texture of each product is soft and all colours are very elegant. This is bound to become your classic red lips’ go-to.

ECSTASY SHINE is dubbed as the “excess shine and care lipcolor”—it acts like a lipcream, by combining a moisturizing lip-balm quality with the shine of a gloss.

The collection has over 21 shades, from ranging plums to reds.

The lipstick-style applicator scores big points with me, as it’s very easy to apply for maximum mirror sheen. Plus, ECSTASY SHINE claims to be twice as soft as a traditional lipstick.

This product line also features an innovative top-filling technique, meaning that ECSTASY SHINE will immediately melt and liquefy upon contact with lips. Since skin on the lips is nearly two times thinner than on the face, ECSTASY SHINE is a solid choice due to its protective and nourishing properties—it blends liquid pigments and a trio of emollient oils, and delivers eight hours of lasting moisture.

“ECSTASY SHINE is much more than just a tinted balm: it’s the perfect everyday lip cream that gives a super shiny effect without being at all sticky or greasy,” says Linda Cantello, Giorgio Armani International’s make-up artist. “It treats lips whilst giving a hint of colour which can be intensified ‘sur-mesure’.”

The palette ranges from glowing nudes and neutrals—Smile and Play—to pop hues of vibrant coral, orange-red and pink— Desire, Maharajah and Armani’s signature Rouge 400.
