Every season, I eagerly await the release of Delpozo’s new collection.

Of course, as someone who grew up in Spain, I bond with Spanish designs on a whole different level. But there is also something about this brand that makes me really connect with it in a special way. Perhaps, it’s the marriage of extreme femininity with avant-garde design aesthetics.

For spring 2017, Josep Font was inspired by the study of light and, in particular, “the paintings of Spain’s master of light, Joaquín Sorolla along with the luminous refractions of Korean-American Soo Sunny Park’s installation art.”

Spring’s colour palette next year is vibrant and vivid: lots of floral prints, lilac and apple green. There is volume in skirts and there are calla lily sleeves – spring is everywhere, directly or indirectly. There is knitwear and crochet for clothing, and vinyl for purses. And to wrap it all up: there are humongous earrings.

Below are my favourite 15 looks from the collection.
