“I am a passionate Toronto-born fashion marketeer pursing my dreams in London. Known as a “trend-setter,” a bit dramatic at times and the ultimate girly girl, I’ve long had a love for clothes and dressing up.

“After organizing annual charity fashion shows throughout university, I decided to pursue a career in fashion. Originally achieving an honours B.A. in sociology at McMaster, I then moved to England and received my M.Sc in international fashion marketing at Manchester Metropolitan University. My dissertation focused on the use and influence of fashion blogs from interviews with readers, bloggers and industry professionals within Europe and North America; my favourite being an inspirational interview with Melanie Rickey, a fashion editor for one of the leading weekly UK fashion magazines, Grazia.

“I’ve interned at The Fashion Network, running and attending a series of fashion-based events in Manchester and London, such as in-store events for our clients, a Matthew Williamson preview, and a Sex and the City 2 launch at Harvey Nichols. I then gained work experience under the digital PR team for the top online retailer for everyday luxury, my-wardrobe.com, developing engaging social media outlets.

“I divide my time between Florida, Toronto and London – although all very diverse climates and lifestyles, not to mention countries, I love them all for different reasons! When not browsing fashion blogs and scoping out style in the streets of London, I work as a freelance qualitative research assistant, love dance and photography, and want to travel the world.”
