ETERNITY Calvin Klein: Christy Turlington-Burns is back

May 15, 2014

This month, instead of featuring images from New York specifically, we are focusing on our favourite photos from the latest American fragrance campaign.

Celebrating the 25th anniversary of fragrances in the ETERNITY Calvin Klein range, the ETERNITY house welcomes the return of model and maternal health advocate, Christy Turlington-Burns, as well as the launch of a new global advertising campaign, to debut in June.

The new campaign, photographed by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matatin, features the original face of the fragrance sharing intimate moments on a quiet beach in Turks and Caicos alongside her husband, writer, director and actor, Ed Burns.

Also captured at twilight, the couple appear in an advertising campaign for ETERNITY NIGHT Calvin Klein, a new floral fragrance, and ETERNITY NIGHT Calvin Klein for men, a new woody fougere fragrance. Both limited edition scents are set to launch globally in August.

The brand is also introducing The ETERNITY Project, a global philanthropic initiative aimed at promoting the brand’s mission of eternal love and commitment through the support of various charitable endeavors. Its launch will be marked with a global PSA, featuring Turlington-Burns, to introduce the first non-profit organization they will partner with, called Every Mother Counts. EMC is a charity founded by Turlington-Burns to end preventable deaths caused by pregnancy and childbirth around the world.

“I am so grateful for the support of Every Mother Counts and thrilled to be back, along with my husband,” said the renowned model. “This is my new favourite ETERNITY Calvin Klein campaign of all time.”

The brand also marks its silver anniversary by reissuing the classic 1995 ETERNITY video and print campaign, shot by famed photographer Peter Lindbergh, which features Turlington-Burns and model Mark Vanderloo in a romantic embrace on a beach. The original ads will be updated with the tagline: “Time can’t touch us. Celebrating 25 years.”
